Circulation Services

All library materials must be checked out from the Circulation Desk, located near the entrance/exit on the main level. All patrons must present a valid UW-Whitewater ID in order to check out materials. Visiting patrons from other University of Wisconsin schools may use their current "home" ID to check out materials. Wisconsin residents, not associated with either UW-Whitewater or the UW system may purchase a Community Borrower card. Please refer to our Borrowing & Returning page for additional information.

The Circulation Desk is responsible for maintaining Course Reserves, both electronic and paper. For additional information on requesting or using Course Reserves please see our Reserves page. Instructional staff may reserve or "book" videos to be shown in class by filling out the Video Booking Form. The material will be retrieved and held at the Circulation Desk on the date you designate. Please place your requests at least three weeks in advance.

The University Library also provides access to materials from other libraries. Materials requested from other UW schools (Universal Borrowing) and other libraries (ILLIad) can be picked up and returned at the Circulation Desk. Please refer to our InterLibrary Loan or Universal Borrowing services for additional information.

The Library also provides access to wireless internet, public printers and photocopies. You can also check out a laptop, digital projector, and other equipment for use in the library. We can also provide special services for disabled patrons.

If you have questions or concerns regarding any of the University Library's circulation services or policies please contact circdesk@uww.edu or 262-472-5511.
